About

The QA Automation Engineer utilizes a thorough understanding of software development and quality assurance processes to establish and maintain high-quality standards for the next-generation SaaS-based platform. This role is focused on transforming manual processes into digital experiences by developing and maintaining automation frameworks across multiple projects.The position leads the automation of testing for web and mobile applications, creating performance and scalability suites, and ensuring product consistency through the testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Automation Framework Development: Develops and maintains automation framework(s) across multiple projects, specifically enhancing Mobile and Web Automation frameworks.
  • Scripting & Execution: Develops and maintains written and automated test scripts, test cases, and test plans based upon business and technical requirements.
  • Performance Engineering: Creates a Performance and Scalability test suite and performs testing consisting of compatibility, functionality, regression, scalability, and performance.
  • Process Architecture: Collaborates with QA leadership to architect, establish, and evolveQA processes, ensuring that the team is using QA best practices.
  • Design & Review: Facilitates in product design sessions and reviews product specifications to ensure all projects meet functional requirements.
  • Defect Resolution: Partners closely with the engineering teams to replicate and resolve issues, identifying issues by reading code.
  • Mentorship: Mentors junior team members and works with third-party vendors to evaluate testing tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drives initiatives toward improving software quality assurance procedures and standards and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field/discipline.
  • Experience in coding for test automation and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript,Python, Ruby).
  • Strong working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#).
  • Experience with test frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, Capybara, and Detox.
  • Experience with web services, RestAPI, GraphQL, and Relational Databases.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with Performance, Load testing, and Mobile automation is a plus.
  • Strong planning and project management skills using tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
